The main starting point to mountain hiking is in Kuźnice which is the part of Zakopane easily accessible by public transport (it takes about 10 min to get there by bus). From this site you set off to almost each corner of the Tatra Mountains: the most popular ones like Giewont or Kasprowy Wierch, or the High Tatras with their legendary Orla Perć - one of the longest and most dangerous routes in the Tatras.
If you appreciate extreme leisure, we recommend visiting the rope park on Gubałówka, where you can climb, have a paintball battle with a group of friends or family, or practice shooting at the shooting range.
And if you want to learn rock climbing, visit the website http://greenmountain.com.pl for details. Horse riding opportunities are available at http://www.tarant.pl, and paragliding services are offered by Mr. Bystrowski (contact tel. +48 18 201 54 65, e-mail: [Ask about accommodation] ).
After an intensive day, go and relax in the Aqua Park in Zakopane.
For history and culture enthusiasts, we recommend particularly the Wooden Architecture Route, the Museum of the Zakopane Style, and the Tatra Museum which tells the story of the mountains and the Polish Highlanders. If you want to see old buildings, it is enough to take a walk along the Kościeliska street, where you can find the Old Church on Pęksowe Brzyzko, "U Wnuka" - the first tavern in Podhale, Villa Koliba and many other historic settlements. Keep going forward to Krzeptówki, and you will reach the Krzeptówki Sanctuary and be able to visit the Chata Sabały (the Sabała Peasant hut).
