Locality

Apart-hotel Tatran is easy to find from the main road E77 Banská Bystrica – Ružomberok. It"s located close to lower station of cable-car to Nová hoľa (about 190m) and we offer year-round accommodation for more demanding clients which prefer their apartment with own kitchen rather then the standard hotel room.

Apartment

Apartment for 5-6 persons (floorspace 53 m2).

Apartment has 2 rooms. Living room and separate bedroom. Living room has a fully equipped kitchenette (electrical stove, fridge, kettle, microwave), double bed, sofa bed and TV. Bedroom with double bed.

All apartments have a large hall with cupboards, spacious balconies and a separate basement storage room for skis, bicycles and other sports equipment.

Studio

Studio for 2-4 persons (floorspace 33 m2).

Studio is suitable for 2-4 member families. Studio consist of one room with double bed + 2 extra beds, kitchenette (electrical stove, fridge, kettle, microwave), WC, bathroom with shower.

All studios have a large hall with cupboards, spacious balconies and a separate basement storage room for skis, bicycles and other sports equipment.

Summer activities:

Fun Arena:

• Cable-car up to Nová Hoľa – Come up and take in the wonderful panoramic views from Nová hoľa or from nearby Zvolen of the Low Tatras and the Large Fatras or just make the start of your hiking trip easier. Look on the courageous para-gliders or try directly to look on the world from bird's perspective.
• Toboggan run – 900 metres of adrenalin, 72 m of elevation, 7 jumps, 11 turns, maximum speed 45 km/h.
• Rope centre – 500 m long « monkey » track, at least 2 metres above the ground. 6 circuits and 2 separated rope rallies.
• Climbing wall - at 14m high the highest climbing wall in Slovakia, possibility to take lessons with monitor.
• Trampolines – 8 trampolines
• Bungee

All attractions are about 100 metres of apart-hotel Tatran and 200 metres of apart-hotel Kamzík.

Vlkolínec: Vlkolínec is remarkably undisturbed and well preserved mountain settlement that, judging from the integrity of its rows of houses, it is second to none within the Central-European region. In 1993 Vlkolínec was added to the List of the World's Heritage of UNESCO.

Špania Dolina:Wonderful middle age mining village, you can still find valuables minerals on stack behind the village.

Mining water conduitThe relic of the unique miffle age water conduit, which conducted water from Donovaly to Špania Dolina.

Chalets and Sheds (typical Slovak restaurants):Enjoy slovak cooking in the unique atmosphere of Slovak chalet – Koliba Krištof Uľanka, Koliba, Donovaly. Buy your self typical Slovak fresh sheep cheese (bryndza, oštiepok, žinčica) directly in some of the sheepfolds widely spread in the mountains around - Starohorské vrchy or Veľká Fatra.

• Railway tunnels on track Banská Bystrica – Horná Štubňa – Adventurous railway track on which tunnels are alternated by nice views on valleys of Veľká Fatra. There are totally 29 tunnels on track, from which one is the longest one in Slovakia.
• Troughs for wood floating in the valley Bystrica.

Winter activities:

11 km ski slopes of all difficulties. 15 ski lifts, 1 chair lift and 1 cable-car. Beginners will find usefull the services of Patty ski school which is located just next to apart-hotel Aplend Kamzík. Less experienced skiers will find lot of fun on the slopes Záhradište, more experienced can conquer the New Hola with its red and black slopes. Free-ride lovers can try the old ski trail from Nová Hola to Donovaly and other courts around. There is the fun park for snowboarders and acrobatic skiers built on the slope Záhradište. Cross country skiers can go on tours to Šachtičky, Krížna, gap Hiadeľské and other location of Low Tatras National Park.
